Tractors and machinery all have inherent risks in operation. RSV has a very strong commitment to safety and well documented policies on OH&S.
All tractors are fitted with revolving beacons, reversing beepers, fire extinguishers, UHF radios and first aid kits.
Operators have tractor and front end loader tickets issued by Civil Contractors Federation and Construction Induction OH&S cards.

High risk “workcover” tickets held by our staff include ‘elevated work platform’, ‘basic rigging’, ‘dogging’, ‘forklift’ and ‘cross cut chain saw’.
Other staff hold numerous machinery operators tickets which include’ front end loader’, ‘wheel tractor’, ‘grader’, ‘ride on mower’, ‘telescopic materials handler’ and ‘tip truck & trailer. Many staff also hold a level two first aid certificate.
We also have the necessary Chemical Users Certificates & Commercial operators Licences for the use and handling of chemicals.

Our machinery is regularly serviced & maintained by our full-time qualified mechanic and external mechanical service providers where and as required.
All staff are issued with all necessary personal protection equipment. Pre-start forms are a feature of every workday and toolbox meetings are a regular occurrence to both reinforce the message of safety and to engage all staff in this important priority.
We maintain Safe Work Method Statements for our operations which are regularly updated.

What Our Clients Say

Safety requirements were always taken into consideration, which was particularly important when working in close proximity to the rail network. Work completed was consistently of a high quality; the teams’ knowledge of plant species and understanding of landscaping mixes ensured that all works were carried out according to the specified design. I would not hesitate to use Rural Solutions again on another project.

- Fiona Bowie, John Holland’s Environment Coordinator

RSV has been professional, committed and productive which is why they have been involved and continue to be involved in many of our projects ranging from minor right through to major projects. Excellence in flexibility and the ability to work unsupervised right through to office management.

Keep up the great service.
