North-South Pipeline
In 2011 RSV was heavily involved in the North-South Pipeline Project as the major agricultural sub-contractor to John Holland Pty Ltd for the reinstatement of the 76 km long right-of-way. The services included deep ripping, top soil preparation and seeding of pastures. RSV also provided services in the provision of seed, fertiliser, gypsum and lime, spreading of fertilisers, slashing of ROW, spraying and fencing. This gross contract value exceeded $1,000,000 by the end of the project
South Morang Rail Extension Project
In 2011 RSV successfully tendered for work on the South Morang Rail Extension Project (SMREP). Again working with John Holland, our team planted over 180,000 trees, ranging from tube stock to large advanced (45 L). The planting conditions were varied and challenging and the timeframes tight.
Desalination Pipeline Project
RSV’s recent major project was working with Thiess Degremont Nacap on the Desalination pipeline. RSV worked on reinstatement as well as silt fencing and other positive environmental outcomes. The work was challenging and made more difficult by widely ranging weather conditions and the issues posed by living and working a considerable distance from home base.
With up to a team of 14 at any one time, RSV met all major challenges and timelines and stepped up to fill the gap when other contractors have had problems achieving the client’s targets.
